Where are you putting your energy?

Where you place your energy grows, simply put, for better or for worse. Where are you putting your energy? When I talk about energy, I’m referring to your attention, focus, interests, etc.
Have you ever wondered why you don’t attract something you desire? Let’s take a few examples: you can’t find someone to share your life with, you can’t land a worthwhile job, or you struggle tremendously to complete your studies…
Let’s take one of these examples to extrapolate to any situation: “I can’t find someone to share my life with.” Are you spending the day lamenting because you feel lonely? Do you get proposed plans but prefer to stay home? Do you feel lazy about trying new ways to meet people? When you meet someone, are you more focused on their flaws than their potential virtues? If this is the case, ask yourself these two questions to analyze the situation:
What is my attitude? If I want something and my attitude is the opposite, there’s a contradiction; I’m not putting all my energy into achieving it.
What am I doing to achieve it? If my daily actions have no relation to what I want to achieve, it will be harder for me to get it because, in some way, I’m putting up resistance due to fears related to past negative experiences or limiting beliefs (see post to understand what limiting beliefs are).
Just like we water plants to help them grow, we need to “water” our goals, understand them, and understand what we’re doing to achieve them. We need to be in harmony with who we are and what we want.
Similarly, when we project negative energy, we’re also “watering” that type of negative feelings, which will continue to grow until we become aware that we need to shift our energy elsewhere. Negativity breeds more negativity and doesn’t contribute to our growth.
Remember: where you place your energy grows. Where do you want to put yours?
